About Las Chingonas Imports
Las Chingonas Imports—translated as “badass women”—was founded with the mission of showcasing mezcals from Guerrero. Although Guerrero is one of Mexico’s most important mezcal-producing states, it has long been underrepresented in the U.S. market. Founder Julia Cuthbertson set out to change that, bringing these distinctive spirits to American drinkers.
Since its beginnings, Las Chingonas has expanded to include spirits from Durango, Sonora, and Nuevo León.
What sets Las Chingonas apart is its unwavering commitment to keeping ownership in the hands of families in Mexico—a rarity in U.S. importing. This ensures producers directly share in the success of their craft, preserving authenticity and sustainability at every step.
